WEST PALM BEACH, FL, UNITED STATES, October 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Following four public policy roundtable events throughout October, former City Commissioner and West Palm Beach mayoral candidate Christina Lambert is preparing to release a series of policy papers addressing 14 key issues affecting residents' quality of life and the future of West Palm Beach.

“The people who live in West Palm Beach deserve to be heard and have a seat at the table. I’m making sure they have a voice in the decisions that shape the future of our city,” said Christina Lambert. “That’s how I lead as an executive, former non-profit CEO and approached my eight years on the City Commission, and it’s how I’ll lead as mayor. Over the past several weeks, I’ve heard directly from residents about what they love about our city, what concerns them and what they want to see change. Those conversations are laying the groundwork for a policy plan that reflects our community’s priorities and puts residents at the center of City Hall’s decisions.”

Lambert’s roundtables brought residents, neighborhood leaders, community stakeholders and local experts together for substantive discussions about the challenges and opportunities facing West Palm Beach. The four-part series included discussions on:

Neighborhoods & Good Government (Oct. 10): Technology & Innovation; Government Accountability & Transparency; Arts, Culture & Lifestyle; and Neighborhoods, Parks & Public Spaces.

Health & Public Safety (Oct. 14): Health & Senior Services; Mental Health, Homelessness & Community Services; and Public Safety.

Economic Opportunity & Education (Oct. 19): Education; Economic Development & Tourism; and Small Business, Entrepreneurship & Job Creation.

Growth & Quality of Life (Oct. 24): Environment, Resiliency & Water; Housing & Cost of Living; Growth, Infrastructure & Development; and Mobility, Traffic & Parking.

The discussions are helping inform Lambert's comprehensive, residents-first policy agenda, with detailed policies so she will be ready to hit the ground running on day one as Mayor.

Residents who participated praised the opportunity to engage directly with Lambert, learn from local experts and contribute ideas about the city's future.

Lambert has also opened an online portal for residents to share their ideas on the 14 policy topics if they did not attend the in person roundtables. The portal will be open until November 20th. “It was very helpful to hear all the issues the city deals with as far as responsible growth,” said Luke Strickland, a roundtable participant. “It was great to actually meet Christina, hear her perspectives and learn what is going on with the city and how we can move forward, with the exponential growth that we have here. Phenomenal event.”

“I was very interested in hearing about the plans regarding mobility, transportation and was very interested in contributing ideas towards public transportation, especially opportunities for light rail and making the city more pedestrian oriented and livable while maintaining the quality of life that we have,” said Nelson Correa, a South End resident.

“I learned so much from the others at the roundtable about the affordability crisis they were having,” said Kayai Graham, a real estate professional who participated in the housing and cost of living discussion. “The overall discussion and the ideas to make sure West Palm Beach is moving in the right direction will help ensure Christina will be able to hit the ground running day one as Mayor.”
